Sameh & Family Gaza Evacuation and Aid

My name is Amanda, a 33 year old retail manager from Mt. Hood, Oregon. Over the last year while becoming more involved in relief efforts to help Palestinian families affected by the genocide in Gaza, I connected with Sameh Awad and his family and since have been doing my level best to get his story and relief campaign circulating to a larger audience. Unfortunately Sameh had to recently close his GFM due to shady financial dealing of his last campaign manager. We’re starting from scratch once again (and this time in better hands). All donations are more than appreciated. Your contribution could save a life! But also remember sharing this campaign with your friends and family is free! And with that I will let Sameh tell his story in his own words…
Hello, I am Sameh Awad, a Palestinian from Gaza. I’m reaching out to you seeking your help for me & my family amidst the horrors of the relentless war that has been ongoing in Gaza for over a year now. I would like to tell you a bit about my small family. I am the father of Hanan, who is 11 years old, Banan, who is 10 years old, & Omar, who is 8 years old. I have spent 41 years of my life in Gaza, a place I love dearly. Until last October 2023, I had a normal, quiet, & quite happy life with my wife Riham, children, & my mother.
However, after the 7th of October, my whole life turned upside down due to the war on Gaza. Our house was bombed, with explosions & shells falling around us.
My children were crying due to the continuous shelling and explosions. We were forced to flee to Rafah & live in tents with terrifying conditions. We suffered through the winter with rain entering our tent, & then in summer, we endured temperatures of 39°C without enough clean water. Mosquitoes, flies, & other insects are everywhere, making it difficult to breathe in such extreme heat. We then moved before the Rafah invasion to Khan Younis & set up shelter in Asdaa with my other family members, a total of 18 tents. We tried to set up a water line & solar panels but then our camp was invaded & we had to move again to Nuseirat, which caused us to use all of the funds collected. Now we are trying desperately to prepare for winter. We are in need of proper waterproof shelters, mattresses, blankets, clothing, medicine, supplies to make a water line & supplies to provide solar energy. We do not receive any kind of assistance from anyone & the prices of goods are constantly rising.
I want to mention that my daughter Hanan has allergies, & due to air pollution from airplane strikes & viruses, she has caught a bad virus and is sick. She struggles to breathe well & requires an Ultrapure Handheld Personal Steam to improve her breathing. Additionally, my mother is 69 years old, has diabetes, & high blood pressure. With the shortage of medicine & no hospitals, we urgently need help to raise money to cover evacuation, resettlement, medicine, mental health, & essential needs costs in Egypt. We have lost everything.
We were recently displaced from Khan Younis to Nuseirat & we are suffering greatly. All of the funds were used for transportation to the new camp. Our situation has gotten worse & we need all the help you can give us. We do not have any sources of income.
Our shelter now floods because of the rains because Winter is approaching fast. We must hurry & purchase a waterproof tarp as well as additional supplies (blankets, warm clothes, shoes) to make our shelter ready for Winter.
I am working on a Solar Panel project & Water Line project to help provide electricity & water to our camp. Each project costs several hundreds USD, I pray you can help us achieve this goal because water & electricity will help the whole camp survive the Winter.
There is no such thing as safety for us here & we are constantly in danger. Your support can help us buy food, provide proper shelter, water & electricity to me & my family.
Please keep supporting us & gift us any amount that you can. Please remember that you can always donate more than once. Thanking you always from the bottom of my heart.
Please follow me on Instagram & engage with my content in hopes it will reach more potential donors.
